Workflow dashboards

A workflow dashboard is a masonry board of tiles for that workflow. You open it from the workflow view switcher. If you have not set a board width, the board fills the editor pane. If you have set a width with the right-edge handle in edit mode, the board keeps that width when it still fits, and only shrinks while the pane is narrower. Layout saves with the workflow, so everyone on the workspace sees the same board.

Use Compact view in the top-right of the board (next to Add block when you own the dashboard). Compact keeps the same masonry, tile sizes, and live content. It hides Add block, card titles, and per-card Block actions. If you own the dashboard, you can still drag the right-edge width handle. Switch to Full to move, draw, or edit cards.

Your Compact vs Full choice is personal. It applies to every workflow dashboard you open.

A card keeps the column span you set when that span still fits. Making the window or the board narrower does not save the smaller layout as the new setup; the original span returns when there is room again. Stretching a card across every column of the current board is that span for this width, not a lock that grows with a wider pane. Start-from-a-layout tiles that are authored as a full row still span the board.

On an empty dashboard you own, choose Start from a layout and pick Compact, Standard, Exceptions, or Actions. Flow places unbound tiles of those existing block types and packs them to the current board width, then leaves you in view so you can bind data. Drag on empty space and Add block stay available.

Use Add block in edit mode to place tiles. Card layout saves with the workflow. A window resize does not rewrite the saved card spans; it only clamps what you see while the pane is narrow.

You can shrink a card to two rows. New cards start at that height. Taller saved cards stay as they are until you resize them.

Double-click a card or choose Edit. The card grows so every field is visible, up to the height of the dashboard pane. Cancel restores the previous size. Dragging the corner handle keeps the new size.

Stat cards use a compact face in view so the number and caption fit the two-row size.

Long card titles, and the node name after the title, shrink with an ellipsis so they stay clear of Maximize and the block menu. On a narrow data card, the record count and CSV/JSON download icons hide when they would cover Show rows, and Show rows is a compact dropdown instead of the 1 / 5 / 10 / 50 chips.

Each Data or Query tile keeps its own Show rows value (default 50). Changing one tile does not change another. The value saves with that tile.

When you edit a Markdown tile, one document icon toggles source and rendered preview. There is no split view on that tile. Query tiles can still show editor and preview side by side.

Exception summary tiles sit at the top of the card. When a tile has a count, the status colour is a ring around the small dot, 1px away. Quick action rows use a shorter vertical pad so more actions fit.

On a dashboard row in the workspace sidebar, open the overflow menu and choose Duplicate. Flow appends a copy at the end of the Dashboards list and opens it. If the source is a favourite, the copy is starred too. Titles use (Copy), then (Copy N) when that name is already taken. Hover Dashboards or a dashboard under any workflow in the Workspaces explorer and choose the star to pin it for everyone in the workspace. That pin opens that workflow’s dashboard. The tab stays in the header on every Workspaces pane. Double-click it to set a display name for everyone in the workspace.

On any Workspace file row (dashboard, Data or IO file, analysis document, exception view, host workflow, or child workflow), open the overflow menu and choose Make default. That file becomes the workspace landing file (the first favourite) for everyone who opens it. Starring a file still only adds it to favourites. The item is hidden when the file is already the default. Section folders do not have this action.

Starred files also appear as tabs in the Workspaces header. A starred workflow tab shows the workflow icon. A starred dashboard tab shows the dashboard icon. The icon uses the same colour as the tab label.

See Exception management for exception views, which are a separate surface from this dashboard.
